This course is a comprehensive review of important aspects to consider, and recognize, if you want to place or restore dental implants in the anterior region of the mouth.  After understanding space requirements, biologic width, and implant design, I’ll cover single, double, and multiple adjacent anterior implants.  Expect to see the good, the bad, and the ugly, but then understand the hindsight of what went right or wrong in each situation. All material is applicable regardless of your favorite implant company!

Course Objective

· How much space is minimally needed to place and restore an “esthetic needs” implant

· Do space requirements change if there are multiple implants

· Is there a need to use an implant for every tooth lost

· What is biologic width, and how have implant companies changed their implant body designs because of current thought

· What is “platform switching” and why it is important

· What is the long term difference between a “tissue level” and  a “bone level” implant

· Single tooth implants, how location makes a difference

· What factors to consider for double and multiple implants

· Lower anterior implants

· Papilla, papilla, papilla

· When to use crown and bridge restorations as compared to fixed dentures (hybrids)
